Many beaches are within reach of the gîte, from the beaches of the Gulf of Sagone to the exceptional landscapes around Piana.

🏖️ Sagone — about 15 to 20 min
Sagone's large beach is easy to reach and is ideal for either a full day or just a few hours by the sea.

🏖️ Santana — about 20 min
A beautiful beach in the Gulf of Sagone, appreciated for its setting and easy access.

🏖️ Liamone — about 30 min
A large, wilder beach at the mouth of the Liamone river.
Swimming
The sea can be rougher here and the currents stronger. Take particular care when conditions are poor.
🚗 A little further afield
🏖️ Chiuni — about 50 min
A beautiful, spacious beach beyond Cargèse, surrounded by a natural landscape.
It can easily be combined with a visit to Cargèse for a day out.
🏖️ Arone — about 1 hr 15 min
A large sandy beach south of Piana, in a beautiful natural setting.
The beach is easy to reach and has parking nearby.
🏖️ Ficajola — about 1 hr 30 min
A small cove nestled at the foot of the cliffs of Piana.
The road down and the scenery along the way are already part of the experience. This is a much smaller beach than the others listed above.
In summer
In July and August, plan to leave earlier for Chiuni, Arone and especially Ficajola. The roads are winding, and traffic and parking can significantly increase journey times.
💦 River swimming
🌿 River & natural pools — about 10 to 15 min
For a change from the sea, you can also enjoy river swimming spots around Vico.
Natural pools, rocks and cool water make a particularly pleasant alternative on hot days.
Water quality
River bathing water is subject to health monitoring. If there is a temporary restriction or swimming ban, always follow the signs displayed on site.
